Anaya's Blog

The YaYa Book

This one is really long, but I couldn't help but show off my baby's name recognition skills. I made this book using a great site called Blurb (www.blurb.com) and, unfortunately, I couldn't get everyone's picture in time so we'll have to make another one next year. I made it so she would recognize everyone when she meets them this June. Let's see if it works. So far so good.

Chibika and Don

The time has arrived that Anaya has learned our first names - Chibika and Don. Now, instead of hearing a cry or whine first thing in the morning, we hear a loud "Chibika" and "Hi Don, Hi Chibika". It's both really cute and a little disconcerting at the same time.

Cantaloupe and allergies

Every day she learns about 10 new words and surpringly retains them all. She pretty much caps them at 3 syllables which is pretty impressive.

colors

Anaya is all about the primary colors these days...and some not so primary even. There's a little bit of blue/green confusion but that is to be expected.
