Shaking and Sharing

Who would have thought that our little only child girl would learn to share so quickly. I undoubtedly have not begun to instill the concept but she caught on so fast. Let's see how long it lasts.

Our little narcissist

Oh my goodness this video cracks me up. She hasn't even begun to officially kiss us yet but she gives herself not one but two smooches. I love it.

GA-GA-GA

All of a sudden Anaya woke up one day and discovered the consonant sounds of GA and BA. This happened literally overnight and now all we hear, day and night, awake and even in her sleep is ga-ga-ga and ba-ba-ba. Just today I think she also found DA and TA but we don't have documentation yet. It's no surprise that my daughter has little to no interest in moving around, but rather prefers to babble away for anyone who'll listen - no doubt a trait inherited from her mother and nani (hindi for maternal grandma).

Talking Practice

So our little one has discovered how to make use of her tongue more than just to suck the life out every 7 oz bottle we give her. She's making huge strides in the conversing and expressing departments and the exersaucer continues to bring it all out.

Mom's got her craft-on

After the 5th random person this month said to me "oh...how old is he", I decided to look into some barrettes. Not that I really care, I just never know whether to correct them or not - half the time I do and half the time I don't. I found some really cute hair clips online to use as a template so I headed on down to Joann fabrics to make my own. Here is the final product. My girly girl baby.

First trip to the beach

This week we all enjoyed some warm southern everything in our soon to be new hometown of Charleston, SC. Anaya had her first encounter with sand (through her socks because it was a little chilly). We are priming her to be a beach baby, but with no trace of any Indian genetic representation, unfortunately, we'll be needing to slather on the SPF 50. Sigh.
